Fishballs can buy me, love.

After two years, i finally got the chance to eat fishball again! It's definitely one of my favorite street fs ever! Although i was forever warned by my mother not to eat street fs, i just kept on eating them. She said i'll get sick because those may be dirty.
To be honest, i really don't mind at all. I've been eating those foods for the last 15 years of my life and i never got sick. :)

Way back in elementary, i asked my mom if she could buy me a pack of fishballs so we can get to enjoy it at home. And she did, due the fact that it was so cheap in supermarkets. She even cooked it for us.  Unfortunately, i didn't enjoy it.  It tasted different.  Even the sauce for it, of course, was different.

Now, 10 years later, i asked myself again. Why did it taste different? I came up with crazy reasonings.  Haha.  For the first one, i thought our fishballs cooked at home were "too clean." Hahahaha. When you eat fishballs outside home, you have three choices of sauce you can dip your food in : sweet, sweet n' spicy, and vinegar with red chilis and onion. What i always do is first dip my stick in vinegar then dip again in the sweet one. Those sauces come in big bottles so everyone can enjoy to dip their sticks of fishballs again and again. Hohohoho~ Saliva pool. JK JK.  But it's a big possibility. I mean not a possibility. It's actually true. Hohoho~

This is what i'm talking about! :)

Second, the oil we used at home way back was "too pure". Oil fresh from the supermarket to be clear. Fishball vendors "recycle" their oils. What's left at the end of the day will still be used for the succeeding days until its color changes into a darker shade. Those oils are more delicious (LOL) because they already have residues from past fried fish balls.

For the last one,  the real ambience of eating fishball wasn't present in our home. Fish ball vendors usually stay on corners of streets. You get to hear endless honking of jeepneys because of traffic, murmuring students who are running late for their class, laughing workers savoring their "yosi" break, and many more. :)

It's also more fun if you eat fishballs with your friends. And since it's very cheap, you get to eat as much as you want. Sometimes, if you're with a kind friend, s/he may treat you.  :)

Even though i ate fish ball alone while walking my way home earlier, it surely brought in a lot of memories from the past. Memories i laughed and cried on. Uh-oh, getting sentimental again!

Ciao for now!
